Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated and talented Industrial Design Intern to join our dynamic design team. This internship offers an excellent opportunity to gain real-world experience in the field of industrial design and work on exciting projects that challenge and develop your skills. As an Industrial Design Intern, you will collaborate with our senior designer and cross-functional teams to bring new ideas to life, from concept to final production.

Job Responsibilities

1. Concept Development: Assist the design team in generating innovative concepts and ideas for new products, considering user needs, market trends, and technological advancements.
2. 3D Modeling and Prototyping: Create detailed 3D models and physical prototypes to visualize design concepts and verify their feasibility.
3. Design Research: Conduct research on user preferences, product use-cases, materials, and manufacturing processes to inform the design process.
4. Design Iteration: Participate in design review sessions, provide constructive feedback, and iterate on designs based on feedback and testing.
5. Material and Finish Exploration: Explore various materials, finishes, and manufacturing techniques to optimize product aesthetics and functionality.
6. Presentation: Prepare and present design concepts, internally, effectively communicating your ideas and design rationale.
7. Design Documentation: Create and maintain detailed design documentation, including specifications, drawings, and renderings.
8. Stay Updated: Keep abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and design innovations to contribute fresh perspectives to the team.

Qualifications

• Current enrollment in a Bachelor's program in Industrial Design or related field. 
• Familiar with a 3D modeling software (e.g.,Rhino, Autodesk Fusion 360, etc.) Preferably but not necessarily to be proficient in Rhino. And design visualization tools (e.g., Keyshot).
• Basic knowledge of materials, manufacturing processes, and design principles.
• Creativity and a passion for problem-solving through design.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
• Attention to detail and the ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously.
• To be very curious and eager to learn.

Language Requirements

-Fluent English
